I survived

the hideously long guest speaker session and all I got was a headache. Seriously. We were in a far smaller lecture room (by which I mean in this case, a classroom) than usual, we had to steal chairs from another classroom, I got shoved right next to the door with people in the way of the speaker (who remained seated the entire time) and the slides (my spelling of all things German is appalling) and the student I'm with (who had a hard time getting into the fucking room courtesy of chairs in the way).
And then I couldn't even go to the 'schmoozing' session afterwards as the student I was with wasn't going and I had a psychology lecture to be in. Which meant I missed first years trying to impress their lecturer, which is always hilarious.
Psychology lecture implied that something had happened the previous week, I'm assuming in the seminar (which I wasn't in, I was staring blankly at a computer screen listening to people talk about Wikipedia trolls) that was basically bullying the lecturer (I don't like him on the grounds that he's an appalling lecturer - very knowledgable but rubbish at presenting information) which was actually pretty embarassing to sit through.
I don't know if it's just me, but the students at the uni I work at seem so much more immature than when I was a student. It's really weird.
I have done my Yuletide sign up. Yay for obscure fandoms! I'm now going to fill my hot water bottle and go to bed, as I have to be at the bus stop for 8 tomorrow, and I still have a pounding headache (after neurofen and extra strength paracetamol).
